HUGE Vintage Kevin Yazzie Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Stone Tufa Cast Ring

We are offering this Beautiful HUGE Vintage Kevin Yazzie Navajo Sterling Silver & Turquoise Stone Tufa Cast Ring. Tufa casting is a labor-intensive process involving many steps.

First, a tufa stone of the desired size is cut in half. The two halves are rubbed together to create a perfectly flush surface. A cone shaped hole, called a sprue hole, is carved at the top to allow the sterling silver to be poured in.

These kinds of tufa cast pieces cannot be manipulated as there is a lot of sterling silver used in the process making them quite hefty pieces. It is a size 11. It is marked "STERLING-K" (Kevin Yazzie) on the back (see photos).

It measures 2-3/8" X 1-5/8". The total weight is 49.4 grams. Due to our business schedule we are not always on the computer.
